The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring angels, fiends, and dark forces growing in power within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the main group to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear unsuited, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.

The traitor then paid off his debts and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their position as key figures in House Halovar could assist the party enter locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Fans can expect learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
